Outside, the entire building is surrounded by an experiential garden full of ancient olive trees, jasmine, citrus groves and forgotten fruit trees.
Inside exists our green-chemistry R&D lab, manufacturing and bottling facility, a wellness gym and a variety of offices which are powered by photovoltaic panels and external renewable sources. This allows us to produce each and every Oway product using 100% green energy.
The SPAZIO Academy serves as the hub of our training and education, providing an immersive experience into Oway’s unique approach. The setting is enriched with plants, aromas, distillers, and plastic-free furnishings. Guests are invited to engage directly with our values in our experiential showroom, cinema room, eco-salon, and steam distillation room, where they can observe the zero-mile extraction of aromatic plants, flowers, and herbs.
ARTIGIANO stands as our zero-mile creative manufacturing laboratory, where local artisans skilled in terracotta, wood, metal, and glass utilize organic, reclaimed, and recycled materials to craft sustainable merchandising displays, furnishings, and accessories. These items not only enhance the visual appeal of salons but also enrich everyday environments. Each piece produced at ARTIGIANO is unique and handcrafted, distinguished by its singularity and never replicated in series.
The ORTOFFICINA, a biodynamic farm brimming with medicinal plants, embodies the heart and soul of our habitat and serves as the cradle of AGRICOSMETICA®. Here, amid freely roaming bees, donkeys, and goats, we cultivate our own botanical extracts. This farm is not only a source of our products but also a commitment to land preservation, agricultural investment, and experiential creation.
The biodynamic method is the purest and cleanest type of cultivation, free from pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and synthetic fertilizers used in conventional agriculture. The deep bond with nature and the complete respect of its rhythms allow us to obtain the most concentrated and effective active ingredients. The three key principles of biodynamic agriculture are:
• Keeping plants healthy without using any chemicals
• Keeping soil fertile for each successive cultivation using biodynamic preparations and the compost pile
• Relying on the moon’s influence for proper sowing and harvesting and to obtain ingredients rich in active and nutritious elements
• It exploits the natural fertility of the soil, supporting it with limited interventions
• It promotes the biodiversity of all domestic species
• It excludes the use of synthetic products and of GMOs
• Farmers, animals and plants contribute to fertilize and maintain a healthy ecosystem
• Sowing and cultivation follow the phases of the moon
• “Preparations” are used for fertilization and no chemicals are allowed
From 2020 we have been providing an additional quality guarantee on all our formulas with the biodynamic product certification, an assurance of transparency along the entire supply chain issued by the independent body DNV.
We respect careful cultivation rules and spread this pure and clean method, by certifying producers who share our focus on quality.
